Introduction. About 1990 years ago, the world’s greatest tragedy was changed into God’s greatest triumph! Jesus was raised from the dead. We will look at 4 major victories associated with the resurrection.
I.What happened in Matthew 27:51.___________________________________________________

The Jewish commentaries state that this curtain was one hand breath in thickness- about 8 to 9 cm thick.

The total weight of the curtain was about 4 to 6 tons. One Jewish commentary said it would take about 2 yoke of oxen pulling in opposite directions to tear this curtain in two!

Jesus’ resurrection means that death and decay have been overcome, both for Him and for us!
III.What happened in John 20:22_____________________________________________________
Read Ephesians 1:19-20.Note that the power that is towards us is the same power that worked in Christ’s resurrection.

The word “towards” Vs 19 NKJV is eis in the Greek meaning the power coming towards us and also in us. It describes a stream of God’s power from heaven to earth through each of us.

The intensity of this power is no less than the power working in Jesus’ resurrection!

But it takes a revelation of the heart to fully understand this. Pray for it!
